One link. The right
page for everyone.
Send iPhone users to the App Store, Android users to Google Play and each country to its own page, all from a single short link.
- iPhone & iPadapps.apple.com/app/acme
- Androidplay.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.acme
- Germanyacme.com/de
- Japanacme.com/jp
- Everyone elseacme.com
Lands on apps.apple.com/app/acme
The right app store, on every phone.
Stop printing two QR codes and writing "iPhone users tap here". Add an App Store link and a Google Play link, and one short link sends each phone to the right place.
- Separate destinations for iPhone/iPad and Android
- Desktop visitors get your main page
- Works in QR codes, ads, emails and bios
A local page for every country.
Run one global campaign with one link, and let each visitor land on the site, store or offer for where they are. Add a destination per country and leave the rest to the main page.
- Any country, by its two-letter code
- Change rules at any time without changing the link
- See clicks by country to check it's working
Simple rules, checked in order.
Every click is matched at the edge, as part of the redirect itself.
Device first
On an iPhone, iPad or Android phone with a device destination set? They go there.
Then country
Otherwise, if their country has its own destination, that's where they land.
Then the default
Everyone else, including desktop visitors, gets the link's main destination.
One link for every audience.
App downloads
One link in your ads and emails that opens the right app store on every phone.
Regional stores
Send shoppers to the store that ships to them, with the right prices and stock.
Local languages
Land each visitor on the version of your site in their language.
Regional offers
Run a promotion in one market without confusing everyone else.
Events by city
Point a single campaign link at the right local event or venue page.
Desktop fallbacks
Show desktop visitors a landing page while phones go straight to the app.
Questions about targeting
What happens to people who don't match any rule?
They go to the link's main destination. Every targeted link has one, so nobody ever hits a dead end.
What about desktop visitors?
Device rules cover iPhone, iPad and Android. Desktop visitors follow your country rules if you have them, and otherwise get the main destination.
Can I combine device and country rules on one link?
Yes. Device rules are checked first, then country rules, then the main destination. So an iPhone user in Germany gets the App Store, and a desktop user in Germany gets your German page.
How is the country worked out?
From the visitor's network location at our edge, the same way as in your analytics. People using a VPN may appear to be in another country.
Does targeting slow the redirect down?
No. Rules are stored with the link and checked at the edge as part of the redirect, with no extra lookups.
Is any personal data used?
No. Targeting only uses the device type the browser reports and the visitor's country. There are no cookies and nothing is stored about the person.
