Questions about short links
Can I change where a link goes after I've shared it?
Yes. Edit the destination at any time and the same short link starts sending people to the new page within a minute. Your click history stays with the link.
Can I change the slug later?
The slug and domain are the link's address, so they're fixed once created. If you need a different slug, create a new link. You can archive the old one or keep it pointing somewhere useful.
What's the difference between a 301 and a 302 redirect?
A 302 tells browsers the move is temporary, so they come back to the short link every time and every click is counted. A 301 is permanent and browsers may cache it, which can hide repeat clicks. We use 302 unless you choose otherwise.
How many links can I create at once?
As many as your plan allows. Upload a CSV from the dashboard or create them from your own systems with the API.
Are clkr.in links safe to click?
We scan destinations for malware and phishing when links are created and keep checking afterwards. If something slips through, anyone can report it and we'll take it down.
