A QR code for
every link.
Every short link comes with a QR code, ready to download. Change where it points after it's printed, and count every scan.
Print once. Update whenever you like.
A clkr.in QR code points at your short link, not straight at the page. So when the menu changes, the offer ends or the page moves, you update the link and every printed copy follows.
- Change the destination without reprinting
- Short links make simpler codes that scan faster
- Works on clkr.in or your own domain
Know what came from print.
Scans are counted separately from link clicks, so you can see exactly how much traffic your packaging, posters and table cards bring in, and where people were when they scanned.
- QR scans and link clicks side by side
- Country, city and device for every scan
- Give each placement its own link to compare them
Anywhere a link can't be clicked.
QR codes turn anything physical into a link you can measure.
Packaging
Link a box or label to setup guides, reorders or reviews, and update it as products change.
Menus & tables
Point table cards at today's menu, and change it without reprinting a thing.
Posters & flyers
See which poster, street or event actually brings people in.
Business cards
Send people to your profile or booking page, and keep it current for years.
Events & badges
Agendas, check-ins and feedback forms, one scan away for every attendee.
Receipts & invoices
Ask for a review, share a returns page or invite customers to sign up.
Codes that scan the first time.
Size it for the distance
Print at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide for something held in the hand, and scale up roughly 1 cm for every 10 cm of scanning distance.
Keep the contrast high
Dark modules on a light background scan best. Avoid light-on-dark or busy photos behind the code.
Leave a quiet zone
Keep a clear margin around the code, about four modules wide, so cameras can find its edges.
Test before you print
Scan a proof with a couple of different phones, in the light it will actually be seen in.
Questions about QR codes
Do the QR codes expire?
No. A clkr.in QR code points at your short link, so it keeps working for as long as the link does. There is no separate expiry on the code itself.
Can I change where a printed code goes?
Yes. Change the link's destination in the dashboard and every copy of the code, on paper or on screen, goes to the new page.
PNG or SVG: which should I download?
Use PNG for screens, documents and quick sharing. Use SVG for anything printed or resized, because it stays sharp at any size.
Can the code use my own domain?
Yes. If the link is on your custom domain, the QR code encodes that domain, so even the URL people see on their phone is yours.
Do people need an app to scan it?
No. The built-in camera app on almost every modern phone reads QR codes and opens the link.
